Agricultural Cooperative Director Training 2022

We are pleased to bring agricultural cooperative directors together in person again!

Minnesota and Wisconsin will cooperate on a director leadership program in January 2022! Topics include a look at how boards might handle employee issues brought up by a director, what types of things should boards consider having in a written contract for their CEO or General Manager, what a board should know about its balance sheet and its ability to handle risky events like cyber security, and current trends in energy and their impact on a cooperative’s energy portfolio. Invited speakers include attorneys, a panel on cyber security, and other experts. The highly interactive program will include exercise at tables between directors using flip charts and extensive questions and answers with the speakers.

Who should attend: this training is developed for directors of agricultural cooperatives.

Attendee Limit and COVID Policies:

To ensure the safety of all participants and social distancing, we are limiting capacity of each training to 30 participants. We ask that you register no more than three directors from your cooperative to ensure that many cooperatives are able to participate.

Cancellation Policy:

Conference registrants who cancel their registration on or before December 21, 2021 will receive a full refund of the ticket cost minus an administrative fee of $50. Cancellations and refunds must be requested in writing to UW Center for Cooperatives Outreach Specialist Megan Webster.
