Acronyms – words formed from the initial letters of other words or names – are an inescapable part of life in business. Naturally, the cooperative movement is similarly best with acronyms, which can be mysterious and bewildering to newcomers and veterans alike.
Co-op educators, especially, are in a position of needing to sort through the world of acronyms on behalf of their constitutions – members, directors, colleagues, or whomever. Here’s a list of frequently used acronyms submitted by ACE members to help you sort through this complex and many-faceted world. Now, when someone says they’ve been working with "CDF," you’ll know exactly what they’re talking about – or will you?
